"A Call To Persevere"

As the business of the semester kicks into full swing here are some things to encourage all of us to finish strong!

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."
-Hebrews 10:23

"I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it unto the completion by the day of Jesus Christ." - Philippians 1:6

As we dig deeper into exam season be encouraged. The Lord has not brought us here to do well in the beginning of the semester and then fall off towards the end. He is faithful and just, trust him and know that his plans for you are plans to give you HOPE and a PURPOSE! He is a God of Love and He delights in his children!

It will most likely be a crazy busy ending of the semester but, remember finish strong so that you may attain the prize.

His Seed Remains in Me!!!!

Today I came across a special message on the Bethel Church Podcast. It was called "His Seed Remains in Me," at first I was like what the heck does that mean.

As i followed the Sermon it took me to 1 John 3:1-3 and it says, " See what love the father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when He is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see Him as He is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as He is pure."

I began to look at these passages and understand that there is a gift the Lord has given us; it's His seed. We are His children! The passage also points out that the world does not know us because it did not know Him. That shows us that we are His because the world does not know us.

Another revelation came to me about attaining spiritual victory in life is that we focus on sin, when sinning is not the real issue. The issue is dealing with the why we want to sin! I realized victory all comes to down to knowing who we are: WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD!!!! In Romans 8:16-18 it talks about since we are children of God that we are coheirs with Christ. As we know Christ who is our model of spiritual victory, so we can tap into that same power He did. Because of our Identity we are not powerless!

So stand strong in the Power that is made available to You. God Bless!
